Chittenden Reservoir

From the center of Chittenden (such as it is, the Town Clerk's office is a reference), proceed northeast on Dam Road. Stay on Dam Road as it twists and turns through the woods. Shortly after Wildcat Road with a sign for Lefferts Pond, there is a sign for the reservoir boat ramp (also shown on Google Maps). Proceed on this dirt road to the end at a large parking area and park. On foot, from the boat launch, you will see a woods road to the right Proceed down this road. There are several trails to the left that lead down to the water. The farther you go, the more likely to find a secluded spot. There are a few coves along the way that are suitable for a dip. On a hot day the water in these coves can be relatively warm, by Vermont lake standards.
